i heard this awesome song from the 90s on the radio the other nite....the only lyrics i got were the following, can anyone tell me what htis song is?
it is from the 90s, it is dance music

I was out of town last week on family emergency which prevented me from being at the Necto for the first time since I started almost a year ago. Major Thanks to Pulse State for filling in and keeping the place jumping all night. THIS WEEK No Guest dj's. After a very long week I am looking forward to returning and having the best set of my life. I have some new music this week I believe that your really going to enjoy. If you haven't been out in a while or are there every week com eout early and dance your ass off. Just make sure to stop by the booth say hi and make some requests. I always do my best to get as many of them on as possible. Also if you see me At CC this weekend hit me up for a pass I will be giving them out like mad in the hopes of getting you out to Ann Arbor this week.

First let me say say THANK YOU to Saint. Who victorious in his epic battle with the flu played a great set last night.
Next week I will have done the Necto for 9 Month's. In that period of time I have been extremely fortunate to have the privilege to play music I love on an incredible sound system for both friends and strangers. I want to take this moment and express my tremendous gratitude, to everyone who has came out over these last 9 month's. Even if you have only beeen there once I want to say thank you. It humbles me every week when I see how many of you drive to Ann Arbor on a Monday night to share this with me. You are all the only reason why I am living a dream of playing in the first club I ever attended.
Other than Joh Pohl I am having no Guest DJ's from this week through April. I want to take the next month to 5 weeks to focus on new music and to play more requests for those brave souls that drive to A2. I will also in the first week of April have a mix cd guarantied for everyone who walks through the door and probably enough to last the month or longer. I will post last night's set later today. See you all this Monday. If you have not been in a while please come back. If you have been there lately please stop by the booth you are always welcome. |

Tonight was fantastic! Mike played a great set and everyone just never seemed to stop dancing. Thank you all who braved the cold to make such a wonderful evening it would have a very long night if not for the incredible energy of all who were there. The first album that really got me into club music (and eventually DJing too) was Moby's "Everything is Wrong: The DJ Mix Album". It encompasses virtually every style of modern underground dance music (at the time of its release) from NYC hard house to raggae to dark electro to acid trance, and the entire two CD set is continuously mixed by Moby himself. Not only is his selection of tracks sensational (they are all remixes of his club hits up to that time), but so is his style of spinning vinyl.
After being a fan of this album for close to a decade, I finally managed to acquire many of the 12" singles (thanks to eBay, of course!) featuring the various remixes used on the mix album. Most are rare imports and promo only copies. But it was well worth the investment, because these are very much club essentials!
If you are truly a fan of club music, then you will not be disappointed with this album. And, if you are thinking of being a DJ, it can be very inspirational as well. Check it out!

This is a community dedicated to late night head boppin, toe tappin, booty shakin dance music. There's so many different types, so rather than just make it only about 1 TYPE of dance music, feel free to discuss different kinds of groups & genres of dance music... modern, industrial, etc., especially so we can all get more suggestions of new stuff to listen to. Playlists are most welcome... so to start things off, here's one of my recent ones; apparantly I stole some of these songs from a friend (you know who you are), so he'll appreciate this :-D BTW, in case you don't know, the #'s at the end are the approximate BPM (beats per minute) so the songs would flow into each other beatwise... cuz I'm a dork like that (I used a metronome, of course).
